Monthly payroll reporting – Starting in 2024
In connection with the transition to monthly management of SAF-LO Collective Pension Insurance, a Swedish personal identity number or co-ordination number is required. It will no longer be possible to report individuals with just their date of birth.
The 2023 final payroll statement will be the last time individuals with no Swedish personal identity or co-ordination number can be reported just by specifying their date of birth.
As from the first monthly payroll report, those individuals whose pay was previously reported with just their date of birth will need a personal identity number or a co-ordination number instead.
This change is being made in connection with the transition to monthly management of SAF-LO Collective Pension Insurance, in order to create better conditions for the individual to manage their occupational pension.
Verifying the identity of an individual is fundamental for the ability to fulfil the undertakings in the insurance agreement for all parties concerned.
Under the insurance terms and conditions jointly agreed by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and the Swedish Trade Union Confederation, all manual workers performing work in Sweden on behalf of the employer will be covered by the provisions of the insurance agreement. This means that they should be reported to Fora, even if they are not Swedish citizens or resident in Sweden.
